CTM Weekly Digest: August 10, 2018

The following updates should be rolling out next week:

  • Enhanced “Collect Input” for voice menus: Selecting “collect input” in a voice menu will now support mapping to custom fields. This will enable you to capture more data. For example, you might ask customers to enter their account ID the first time they call. Using a Smart Router would allow customers who have already entered their account ID to bypass that voice menu.

  • SIP Device Registration: We can now detect whether or not a SIP device is registered and available to accept calls. Previously, we would attempt to route calls to SIP devices whether or not they were registered. Also, an indicator on the user profile will provide status information to help troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Use triggers to send data into any Salesforce object: Now, you can map data into multiple Salesforce objects. This update will let you write data from any activity (call, text, or form) to any Salesforce object. Of course, you can pick which CTM fields map to which Salesforce fields, as well as choose the conditions that will activate the trigger.
