Ruby Engineer

This position is located in our Severna Park, MD headquarters

We are looking for a Ruby Engineer to work closely with the Engineering and Product teams in the design, development, testing and deployment of CTM’s technical solutions. As a Ruby Engineer, you should have at least 3 years of on-the-job experience in Ruby on Rails. You should also bring a passion for cutting-edge technologies and dream about helping shape the future of our platform. A deep interest or knowledge of AI (including knowledge of BERT, etc.), whether it be on-the job experience, or a self-driven passion, is a plus.

Must Have Skills

  • 3+ years experience in software development/engineering
  • A willingness to learn, and learn quickly
  • A passion for software quality and curiosity
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • 2-3 years experience in Ruby on Rails
  • Comfortable manipulating complex databases in either MYSQL or PostgresQL
  • Well versed in development of web services (REST and APIs)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Go, or Rust

 

Nice to Have Skills & Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Math, or other interesting analytic discipline
  • Prior large-scale web-app experience
  • Github/Bitbucket/Gitlab portfolio
  • A strong passion for hacking on things
